The Reduta Theatre is a theatre in Brno, Czech Republic. It was built on the city's oldest square, Zelný trh) and began its life in Renaissance times as the Taverna (Tavern) Theatre. In 1767, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart performed with his sister in a concert there. It is now part of the National Theatre in Brno. The tower is open to public from April till October and tickets cost 70 CZK. Opening hours and other info can be found here . The Old Town Hall was built around 1240. Brněnská Reduta je zmiňována již roku 1608 a je tak nejstarší divadelní budovou ve střední Evropě. Město Brno koupilo okolo r. 1600 zchátralý Lichtenštejnský palác na nároží Zelného trhu v Brně a zřídilo zde tzv. "Novou tavernu", později zvanou "Velkou" . Sloužila významným hostům, kteří do města přijížděli.
