And vice versa: a high monthly premium might result in some sticker shock, but it typically has a lower deductible. WebIn some cases (like my plan) I actually pay less to do the high deductible plan versus the traditional copay plans. My plan costs me $75 a check for premiums and I have a $6000 OOP for my wife and I. I go to an acupuncturist and the plans negotiated her payments down to $70 a visit. I pay that $70 because of my deductible.
