WebGenuinely curious, but as I recall from high school level French classes from years ago (and I assume this works for Spanish and other romance languages) there is a lot more gendering of nouns and pronouns in the grammar structure. There is no neutral they/them, it's ils/elles, literally plural hes/shes, and if it's mixed company it refers to hes.
